Esteban Valverde studied clarinet with Francisco Pérez Rodríguez at the Conservatorio Superior of Música of Vigo, where he finished with First Honor Mention.
He has studied with Danny Granados, Antonio Saiote and Alois Brandhofer in New York, Porto and Salzburg.
He has taken courses with the teachers: Joan E. Lluna, M. Espejo, José L. Estellés, W. Boeykens, L. Passin, M. Zukovsky, Yehuda Gilad, Guy Deplus, R. Stolzman and Wolfgang Meyer.
Since 1992, he is a clarinet teacher at the Department of Culture, Education and University Management. He has taught in the Professional Conservatories of Pontevedra Ourense and Vigo in whose institution he has been director since it is creation until 2015. He has been adviser for the Department of Culture, Education and University Management from 2008 to 2011.
Since 2015 he is Director and professor of clarinet at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo.
He has been a member of the Xoven Orchestra of Galicia between the years 1987 and 1991. He has played as a guest clarinet with the Municipal Orchestra of Coruña, Orquesta Ciudad de Málaga and Orquesta Ciudad de Barcelona. He was a founding member and clarinet of the Sinfonieta Orchestra of Vigo.
He is a member of the quartet of clarinets Dibassetto, with which he has offered concerts and taught courses throughout the Galician geography.
In the years 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2011 he assists as a guest professor at the Julián Menéndez International course in Avila. He has been guest teacher in the “Vila de Arcade Course” 2008 and 2009, as well as in 2010 in the 1st clarinet course in Goián.
Esteban Valverde plays with Selmer clarinets “Privilege” and “Signature”.
He is PhD in Special Didactics by the University of Vigo.
