NAME OF THE ACTIVITY: WORKSHOP ON PSYCHOLOGICAL SKILLS TRAINING FOR THE HIGH MUSICAL PERFORMANCE

BACKGROUND: During the past academic year 2014/15, the S.P.I.M. developed a needs assessment and diagnostic. The aim was identifying the main interest areas for psychological intervention among our pupils. This information would allow us to plan the interventions during the academic year 2015/16, when we expect to implement the second phase of our work: design of different intervention activities, based on the scientific method to ensure its reproducibility and contrast the obtained data. As a result of this diagnose, the abovementioned workshop is proposed under a general heading which could allow future development with different contents as required.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY: The whole workshop has four independent modules. The involved pupils can take part in all of them or only in a specific one:

MODULE A: Training on the adequate planning of the musical study.

MODULE B: Training on activation control (performance anxiety).

MODULE C: Training on body position during the musical performance.

MODULE D: Training on technical skills with mental imagery.
